The end of Crux’s time in Pittsburgh is drawing near. In the last couple weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of working with Stagioni’s Stephen Felder on January 14th and then a week later, on January 20th, we put on an anniversary dinner celebrating Bar Marco’s first year. With Stephen Felder we put a twist on some of the most traditional Italian dishes, while at Bar Marco, Justin Steel helped us CRUXify all of the biggest hits from the menus over the course of Bar Marco’s first year on the Strip.
Though you may have missed out on our last two dinners in Pittsburgh, we’d like to officially announce the Last Supper, a charity event reuniting CRUX with some of our favorite collaborators in Pittsburgh and giving us the opportunity to cook with a few chefs we missed during our short stay here. The charity dinner will take place at Bar Marco on February 17th. All profits from ticket sales will go to Food Revolution PGH. We’ve lined up the following 11 chefs, each will contribute one dish to the menu: Justin Severino (Cure), Dave Racicot (Notion), Domenic Branduzzi (Piccolo Forno), Keith Fuller (Root 174), Justin Steel (Bar Marco), Brian Pekarcik (Spoon), Rick DeShantz (Meat and Potatoes), Jamilka Borges (Butterjoint), Trevett Hooper (Legume), Stephen Felder (Stagioni) and Brandon Baltzley (CRUX).
We will post more information such as price and menu in the following week.
